At the 2013 SAPPHIRENOW conference in Orlando SAP announced alongside a unified strategy for its cloud portfolio, it’s entrance to the sports and entertainment market.

SAP has always had an interest in sports with sponsorship of F1’s Vodafone McLaren Mercedes, Tennis’s Andy Roddick and the “The Big Easy”, Golf’s Ernie Els.

So what does the SAP for Sports and Entertainment solution contain?

SAP has defined it into three areas:

•   Fan Engagement - Mobile, Cloud and Analytics
•   Team Performance - Mobile, In-memory computing and Analytics
•   Venue Management - Mobile, Cloud, Analytics and Apps
