seeking a highly skilled SAP Payroll Functional Lead
to manage and optimise their SAP Payroll.
This role is perfect for an experienced SAP HR Payroll professional
who wants to take ownership of payroll strategy and system enhancements
while working part-time or full time.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Payroll Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Lead payroll system optimisation, process improvements, and automation .
- Act as the key liaison between HR, IT, and Finance to align payroll system priorities.
- Provide technical leadership in incident resolution, system updates, and compliance .
- Collaborate with Solution and Enterprise Architects on system enhancements .
- Configure SAP Payroll to meet complex payroll needs.
- Support and manage system integrations
- Ensure smooth system upgrades, release impact analysis , and scope testing.
- Mentor and guide Payroll Admins and System Admins on best practices.
- Support user provisioning, role design, and payroll system administration tasks .
- Extensive experience with SAP payroll
- Strong expertise in payroll business processes, configuration, and system integration .
- Ability to work independently in a part-time capacity while delivering strategic impact.
- Hands-on configuration skills and a deep understanding of payroll security & compliance .
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and working with external vendors .
- Knowledge of Australian payroll regulations & compliance is a plus.
- Part-time flexibility – Work 3-4 days a week while leading a high-impact payroll function.
- Own payroll transformation – Take full responsibility for SAP Payroll system enhancements.
